NASCAR will race on the dirt for the first time since 1970 next season when the Camping World Truck Series visits Eldora Speedway in Ohio. I don't know if any of you know this but that track is owed byTony Stewart and Dale jr and couple other drivers own.
The trucks will go to the Tony Stewart-owned track in Rossburg on July 24 as a lead-in to the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series races later that weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The 2013 Camping World Truck schedule also features the first international event with a September stop at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Ontario. The series also races on a Wednesday night at Bristol Motor Speedway.
If y'all read the Articles before this one it has the full schedule of the truck series, it is also on that page if you need check it out during 2013 season.
Also announced in the 2013 schedule release is a race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, a 2.459-mile,10-turn road course in Bowmanville, Ont., which will host its inaugural truck event Sept. 1.
"It has been one of the hardest things to not talk about I think in my entire professional racing career," said Stewart, who also co-owns Stewart-Haas Racing. "To have had the opportunity to go and do a test earlier this year with the trucks was just really a dream come true for us as a facility.
"I've always joked around and people say, 'What would you do if you could change the schedule?' I always joke around about saying, I would add a dirt race."
