Jimmie Johnson wins chase 8 race at Texas

Johnson 6th won of Season, 700 win for Team Chevy

With back to back poles, also back to back Victory's it's starting to shape up as great chase between Jimmie and Brad. Jimmie has tightened grip on his possible sixth Sprint Cup Series championship. Jimmie pulls away from Brad Keselowski in a green-white-checkered-flag finish at Texas Motor Speedway.

Johnson finished just .808 seconds ahead of Keselowski and increased his lead in the standings to from two points to seven. This is Johnson's fifth victory of the season.

Kyle Busch ran third, followed by Matt Kenseth, Tony Stewart and Clint Bowyer. Rest of the result at end of this article.

Keselowski and Johnson raced side-by-side and a hairbreadth from losing control after the restart on lap 327 with Keselowski pulling out to an eight-car-length lead, it set up for two-lap dash to the finish that got the crowd of fans on there feet.
