Penske Racing hosting Fan Fest on October 12th

Penske Racing will open its doors and celebrate with fans on Friday, October 12 at the organization's 2012 Fan Fest. Featuring unique access to the on-track stars and high-tech cars at its state-of-the-art facility, Penske Racing Fan Fest will be a one-of-a-kind experience for fans of all ages.

Many exciting events are being planned for Penske Racing fans, including special autograph and question and answer sessions featuring the team's drivers that compete in its NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series as well as its IZOD IndyCar Series programs. Fan Fest will also include a silent auction with over 20 exclusive autograph items signed by Penske Racing drivers. Fan Fest attendees will also be able to see the wide variety of racing machines that have reached Victory Lane for Penske Racing, as well as the many trophies and awards the team has earned over the years.

The nearly 425,000 square foot Penske Racing facility is located at 200 Penske Way, Mooresville, NC 28115. This first-class race shop houses all of Penske Racing's winning motorsports programs. With more than a million pounds of Italian floor tile, expansive fan viewing area and unique graphics chronicling Penske Racing's storied history, the home of Penske Racing is unmatched in the United States and is considered one of the top racing facilities in the world.

Highlights of Penske Racing Fan fest will include:
• 7:30 am - Wristbands for the Penske Racing driver autograph session distributed to the first 300 people in line at the Penske Racing store
• 8:00 am-8:30 am - Pit stop demonstration
• 8:30 am - 9:00 am - Question and Answer session with Penske Racing drivers
• 9:00 am -11:00 am - All Penske Racing drivers will sign autographs for the 300 selected wristband holders
• 11:00 am -11:30 am - Silent Auction bidding ends and winners are announced

- Exclusive, autographed items from Penske Racing drivers up for bid during the Silent Auction. Both credit cards and cash will be accepted with all proceeds going to the Paralyzed Veterans of America
- Driver- and Team-themed baskets will be raffled off in the Gift Shop for $1 each with all proceeds going to the Paralyzed Veterans of America
- Food and beverages may be purchased onsite
- 2012 NASCAR and IndyCar vehicles on display along with trophies from this year's Penske Racing victories
